Background: Understanding the Client’s Unique Needs

The Zoe Napier Group is a highly specialised estate agency with a niche focus and a strong identity. They are based in Essex and coverall of Essex County and South Suffolk selling very unique properties with an emphasis on country homes, equestrian properties, waterside or coastal homes, barn conversions and luxury new builds.

When Zoe Napier approached us in early 2024, it was clear that their previous website was no longer fit for purpose. Comprised of separate websites for their different niche departments: Country & Equestrian, Coastal & Watrside, Barns & Unique Conversions, New & Luxury Homes; the old structure lacked cohesion, looked very dated and presented significant challenges for SEO, user experience, and Google rankings.

Having known Zoe since 2015, and having taken on their social media management at the start of 2014, we understood the company’s vision, brand values, and target audience deeply. This familiarity laid the foundation for a seamless collaboration to redesign their website from the ground up. Together with FL1 Digital, our web development partners, and Lesley Wilson from W3 Studio, Zoe’s graphic designer, we embarked on a journey to create a cutting-edge website, one that would last and could be regularly updated to stay ahead of new trends.

The Challenge: Bringing a Vision to Life

• Unified Branding: The old website lacked a unified look and feel, which diluted the company’s niche branding. A key goal was to create a site that reflected Zoe Napier Group’s distinctiveness while maintaining functionality and professionalism.
• Improved User Experience: Navigation needed simplification, and the site required a modern, mobile-responsive design to better serve clients.
• SEO and Google Performance: The site had to be optimised to compete effectively for search traffic and improve visibility for target keywords.
• Future-Proof Functionality: We wanted to make it easy for the team to manage updates, add blogs, create landing pages, and capture leads through data forms without relying heavily on developers.

The Process: Collaboration at Every Step

Building a website that would elevate Zoe Napier Group’s online presence was a team effort and labour of love.

Designing the Framework:

We worked closely with Zoe and Lesley to finalise the homepage design, banner images, fonts, and colour scheme. These elements not only captured the brand’s essence but also delivered a polished and professional aesthetic that sets the tone for the business.

Custom Content:

Each page was tailored to highlight Zoe Napier’s services, niche focus, and authority in the industry. This included the creation of 25 unique pages and 16 blog articles, all crafted with SEO best practices in mind.  We do not ask you to write the content for your new website, unless you want to!  This is our job because we know how busy estate and letting agents are selling and renting homes, we are the content writers and know how to write for Google and Search Engines.  We will learn everything that we need to know about your business, and put it into words for you.

Development:

Once the design and layout were locked in, Jack at FL1 Digital began coding the pages. This phase included integrating essential back-end SEO functionality, ensuring the site could easily scale and adapt as the business grows.

SEO and Functionality:

A significant portion of the effort went into the invisible but vital aspects of the website. From optimising the site’s structure for search engines to creating flexible tools for lead generation and social media ad campaigns, every detail was considered.

To ensure compliance with Rightmove standards, we designed property pages to mirror Rightmove’s structured format, incorporating all essential property details while maintaining Zoe Napier’s distinctive brand voice. This includes:

• Key property specifications (tenure, council tax band, EPC rating, services, planning details).
• Comprehensive descriptions that balance storytelling and factual accuracy.
• Stamp Duty & Mortgage Calculators, offering buyers financial transparency.
• Interactive elements such as maps, floorplans, and enquiry forms to enhance user experience.

By integrating these critical elements, the new website not only improves SEO and user engagement but also ensures compliance, professionalism, and a premium buyer experience.
